AROUND US

Our B&B is located in Castellammare di Stabia which is the perfect base to explore the infinite beauties that we have in the area.

We are in fact in the city center, about 400 meters from the Circumvesuviana station from which trains leave for Naples and Sorrento every 30 minutes (here the timetables).

Ruins of Pompeii

Castellammare is the optimal solution to visit the splendid archaeological excavations of Ercolano, the ancient Herculaneum, and Pompei (the old Pompeii) declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, unique in their kind, beautifully preserved, which attract hundreds of thousands of visitors every year and within which you can immerse yourself in the life of over 2000 years ago and breathe the atmosphere and ways of life of that time by visiting the numerous villas with precious frescoes, the thermal baths, the old stores, the forum and the amphitheater.

Equally famous and much visited are the excavations of Oplontis with the famous Villa Poppaea, located between Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Here you can download pdf guides for the various excavations.

Our structure is also located a very short distance from the port from which the ferries leave (here the timetables) for the splendid island of Capri which you can reach with a crossing of about 40 minutes during which you can admire the coast and the views of the Sorrento peninsula. Once you arrive in Capri you can take a boat to discover the Faraglioni and the beautiful Blue Grotto, stroll and have a coffee in the famous little and lovely square. Very interesting is also a visit to the Villa Jovis, which the emperor Tiberius had built as his residence.

It is equally very easy to reach Capri with a short-term navigation starting from the port of Sorrento (here the timetables).

The isle of Capri

Castellammare marks the beginning of the splendid Sorrento peninsula, whose main destination is Sorrento famous for its narrow streets in the center and the precious lemons from which the famous Limoncello liqueur is obtained. To plan a visit and a tour along the streets of the historic center and a walk to enjoy the splendid views of the gulf.

From Sorrento you can reach very comfortably by hydrofoil in the spring and summer (here the timetables) or by bus all year round (Line 5070 here the timetables) the enchanting and picturesque villages on the sea of Amalfi and Positano with the beaches, alleys and restaurants on the sea, do not miss the mini-cruises to discover the coast.

Positano

For fans of trekking, the famous and very panoramic "Path of the Gods" (Sentiero degli Dei) which from Agerola in the Bomerano district leads to Positano is worth mentioning; it is a path of medium difficulty, immersed in the typical Mediterranean scrub, that in about 4 hours will take you from the mountain to the sea between splendid views of the Amalfi coast below. You can reach the beginning of the path with the bus from Castellammare to Agerola - Bomerano (Line 5080 here the timetable).
